Robin's food ventures begin...

This was my friend Eric’s birthday cake. It was five layers of cake, alternating lemon chiffon and a vanilla butter cake. Fillings included a homemade blueberry coulis and lemon curd. I was very distraught because the only instructions he gave was for blueberries and buttercream. It’s winter, all the blueberries taste bland. But the coulis saved the cake. By far the best tasting cake i’ve made…Need to work on icing and writing, but for first time with letters ain’t SO bad.
